The rotating center assembly
A turbo core, also known as a CHRA (Center Housing Rotating Assembly), is the rotating center assembly of a turbocharger.
It contains the compressor wheel, turbine wheel and shaft, bearing housing and internal bearing system. A CHRA does not include the external compressor or turbine housings.
CHRA ≠ complete turbocharger The core assembly is supplied without the external housings and actuator unless a specific product description states otherwise.
