Truck A/C Compressors

Heavy-Duty Truck A/C Compressor Sourcing by Application

A truck A/C compressor should be selected from the vehicle and the original compressor configuration, not from appearance alone. This category supports aftermarket replacement sourcing for commercial truck applications where buyers need to compare an OE reference, compressor family, electrical system and installation details before ordering.

Importers, commercial vehicle parts distributors and fleet maintenance buyers can use the available application range to review trucks from Hino, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz, Foton, FAW Jiefang, JAC, Dongfeng, Shacman, Sinotruk / HOWO, Renault Trucks, Scania and Volvo Trucks. Coverage varies by vehicle model and compressor specification. A brand name by itself is not confirmation of fitment.

Start with the Truck and Original Compressor Label

Supplier catalog records show several compressor families across heavy-duty truck applications. Examples include 10S13C and 10S15C configurations for Hino, 10S15C and 7H15 configurations for Isuzu, 10PA15C, 10S15C and 10S17C configurations for Mercedes-Benz trucks, and multiple 7H15 configurations for Renault Trucks, Scania and Volvo Trucks.

These family names describe a compressor platform, not one universal unit. Two compressors marked 7H15 or 10S15C can still differ in clutch voltage, belt profile, pulley diameter, mounting ears, cylinder-head layout and hose-port direction. Buyers should compare the complete identification label and installation geometry.

Use Truck-Make Search Without Stopping at the Brand

A make-specific category helps a fleet buyer narrow a long application list, but a truck manufacturer can use different compressor suppliers and revisions across model years, engines and markets. Hino, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz or Volvo identification should therefore lead to a smaller comparison set, not an automatic fitment decision.

Check Voltage, Pulley and Refrigerant Before Ordering

Both 12V and 24V clutch configurations appear in the truck range, although 24V is common in many heavy-duty applications. Voltage must be read from the original compressor or confirmed from the vehicle specification. Supplying a 24V unit for a 12V system, or the reverse, is not a harmless substitution.

Pulley descriptions can include single or double V-belt arrangements and multi-rib formats such as PV6, PV8 or PV10. Groove count alone is insufficient. Pulley diameter and alignment affect the belt path, while the mounting pattern determines whether the compressor can be installed without bracket modification.

Most cataloged truck configurations use R134a, but the source catalog also contains an R1234yf Scania reference. Refrigerant type must therefore be checked instead of assumed from the truck brand or compressor family.

What to Include in a Truck Compressor RFQ

For an efficient cross-check, send the truck make, model, production year and engine if known. Add every readable OE or compressor number, the compressor family on the label, clutch voltage, pulley type, groove count, pulley diameter, mounting photos and clear views of the suction and discharge ports. State the refrigerant and required quantity, and include the delivery country or port.

Commercial vehicle parts distributors may submit a mixed-brand or fleet replacement sourcing list, but every configuration should remain on a separate RFQ line. If the old label is damaged, send front, rear, side and top photos with the pulley and connector visible. Dimensional information is especially important when several versions share a similar body casting.

Truck A/C Compressor FAQ

Can you identify a compressor from the truck make and model?

The truck identity is a useful starting point, but it is not enough for final confirmation. Model year, engine, original number and compressor configuration should also be checked.

Are all 7H15 truck compressors interchangeable?

No. 7H15 units can use different clutch voltages, pulley profiles, diameters, mounts and port arrangements. Match the complete configuration.

Should a heavy-duty truck always use a 24V compressor clutch?

No. The catalog contains both 12V and 24V truck configurations. Use the voltage specified for the vehicle and original compressor.

Can pulley groove count confirm the correct unit?

Groove count is only one checkpoint. Belt type, pulley diameter, alignment, clutch connector and mounting geometry must also agree.

Can an R134a compressor replace an R1234yf reference?

Do not make that substitution from appearance or family name. Confirm the refrigerant, oil requirement and complete system specification before selection.

What if the OE number produces more than one result?

Compare the compressor label and physical configuration. OE references and aftermarket cross numbers can lead to more than one revision or application.

What information helps with a wholesale quotation?

Provide the verified part reference, required quantity, destination, packaging requirement and any mixed-model list. The technical match should be settled before price and shipment terms are finalized.

Request a Truck A/C Compressor Cross-Check

Send a fleet application list with the original-compressor evidence for each truck. As a heavy-duty truck A/C compressor supplier, Elecdurauto will separate the references by vehicle and configuration, identify unresolved fitment points and then prepare a wholesale quotation for the confirmed lines.
